Keep Calm And Carry On
Whether you’re a seasoned overpacker who always needs a checked bag or a carry-on enthusiast with a long-haul trip in the works, wading through the many options for checked luggage requires some thought. For one, there’s a variety of different sizes, from medium bags to large suitcases and trunks. Then comes the age-old question: hardside or softside? Personally, I’ve been checking bags more often these days, and most recently traveled with the stylish (and moderately sized) Paravel Aviator Grand. Whatever your preference, our updated guide to the best checked luggage will have you covered.

Amangiri
Located on 900 acres in southern Utah, Amangiri looks out toward the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. The 34-suite resort and spa is built around a central swimming pool—and each of those suites offers a private terrace, fireplace, king-size bed and private courtyard entrance. In addition to treatment rooms, the spa features a fitness center, Pilates studio and yoga studio. There are a handful of dining experiences to choose from, from the main dining room to secluded alfresco meals for four in the desert.
