Dear Reader,
As an editor I have always believed quality journalism – fast, useful and accurate – is worth paying for. Newsletters are an incredibly important part of our journalism, so most of them now require a Bloomberg.com subscription to read them.
As a site subscriber, you will enjoy full access to hundreds of news stories each day from more than 100 countries, global markets data, our original video and audio – and more than 70 newsletters to put the news in proper context. These email editions can help you manage your money, time, and career, including the definitive Markets Daily, the Odd Lots newsletter by Joe Weisenthal and Tracy Alloway, Ashley Carman’s podcast industry newsletter Soundbite, the management and employee trends newsletter Working Capital, and regional editions like Next China, which chronicles the rise of a superpower. We just launched the Weather Watch newsletter to track the economic impact of extreme weather, and the California Edition to cover the world’s fifth largest economy. Soon, we’ll offer you Going Private, a twice weekly email covering the emerging influence of private markets.
We think our newsletter portfolio has something for everyone; you can see our complete offerings and sample editions here.
We are not charging for everything. We have just launched free Morning and Evening Briefings for readers in Asia, Europe and the US, as well as two other free newsletters for the weekend: The Weekend Edition is a guide to all the ideas, culture and fun we have in our fast expanding weekend offering; and a special Forecast newsletter which comes out on Sunday and (as the name implies) has plenty of predictions and analysis for the week ahead.
But the rest we are asking you to pay for. The easiest way is simply to subscribe to the site. We have also just announced a subscription bundle that gives you five technology newsletters, including Tech In Depth, Q&AI and Mark Gurman’s Power On; they are available for a separate fee if you don’t choose a full site subscription.
Thank you for being a Bloomberg reader. Please feel free to share with us your thoughts about our site, our coverage and newsletters. We’re listening.
Yours sincerely,
