Prices, plan names and offers are correct as of 17/01/2025. Deals offered are subject to availability and may not be available to existing customers. Please refer to individual supplier’s terms and conditions before applying.
1The CPI inflation figure was confirmed on Wednesday at 2.5%. Most existing broadband and mobile providers will increase their prices by CPI, plus 3.9% (except TalkTalk, 3.7%), paving the way for price increases of up to 6.4% (or 6.2% for TalkTalk customers). The CPI inflationary rise does not apply to some more recent tariffs which may include an annual pounds-and-pence increase stated at the time of purchase and restated in your contract. Some providers may have no price rises at all. Check your contract to see if you are affected by price rises.
2Switching to a new broadband deal after your initial contract has ended could save you £163 (£163.72) a year. This calculation is based on the average 12-month out of contract cost calculated in July 2024 between Vodafone, BT, Virgin Media, NOW Broadband, Sky and Plusnet (£483.72), compared to the average cost of the most popular three new deals (NOW Broadband: Superfast at £264 per year, Sky Ultrafast Plus Broadband at £384 and Vodafone Fibre 2 at £312). Correct as of 1st August 2024.
3Switching from an ending 24 month handset contract to a SIM only contract (and keeping your existing handset) could save you £352 (£352.90) per year, or £29 per month. This calculation is based on the price of the top selling 24 month handset package in July 2022 (Apple iPhone 13 with 50GB data) against the cheapest equivalent SIM only deal on the Uswitch site as of July 2024 (TalkMobile 50GB data £8 per month). Correct as of 1st August 2024.
