From the Principal’s Pen

Dear Laurel Hill Families,

It's been a nice week back as students and staff reconnect with all things teaching and learning. Our teachers have spent intentional quality time assessing our students to monitor their progress of learning. Results from these assessments help drive instruction and support our communication with families.

We really appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate through clearing ice and snow for making our campus as safe as possible for all of our stakeholders. Dr. Traylor is still accepting any snow day photos you would like to share. Photos will be used on upcoming editions of our newsletter, so please send them to her email (tctraylor@fcps.edu). We think this might be a fun way to boost our "viewing ratings"!

Remember to check out our Top 10 website here. We have highlighted the features of our school that make us unique and outstanding. We are more than just a place of learning; it's a place where teachers, students, and families come together to help our young learners learn, grow, and thrive. We learn together, we play together, we ROAR together! Enjoy the extended weekend!

Sincerely,

Janice Dalton, Principal

Addison Smith, Assistant Principal

Thmeaka Traylor, Assistant Principal
