Please check the overview of the Short-Circuit Test in the Trafosolve Software.
TrafoSolve from Infologic Design provides automatic control of the Simcenter MAGNET Suite for rapid transformer design analysis. It is an easy and logical interface, allowing users to quickly input transformer characteristics into the software.
The video will demonstrate the Short-Circuit Test, it's possibilities, and how to set up your own parameters to make a test using Trafosolve software.
Why conduct a short circuit test?
- to determine the transformer's comparable reactance and resistance.
- to determine the transformer's variable losses (copper loss).
By acquiring the short circuit test data, the transformer's voltage regulation can be ascertained.
How Can a Short Circuit Test Be Performed?
The L.V. side is closed-circuited during the short circuit test, which is conducted at rated current on the high voltage side. Because rated current occurs more readily on the H.V. side than the L.V. side, it is conducted on the H.V. side.
Our Transformer design engineers work close with our Transformer Manufacturer clients to add the latest solutions to today's Transformer Design challenges inside one platform - TRAFOSOLVE.
