Gratitude Tree
The Gratitude Tree was a true collaboration between the White Oaks Wellness Team, our PTA, teachers, and all students. It started when the Wellness Team contacted the PTA, who was also thinking about a similar idea. Our goal was to promote a community spirit and also cultivate gratitude among our community. Gratitude is correlated with increased energy, empathy, happiness and optimism. (Jenny Brotemarkle)
Thank you White Oaks Wellness Team and PTA!

If you're interested, please email us at wopta.president@gmail.com. The board will be selecting a candidate by December 1, as permitted in the PTA bylaws. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to our school community. Additionally, the PTA is always in need of extra hands and hearts, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to get involved in any capacity.
The PTA continues to collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to address traffic concerns near the school. While Shiplett is not currently in the pipeline for School Security Cameras, the PTA and Advocacy Committee are in discussions with authorities to ensure it is added. Efforts also include educating our school community on proper traffic management during school hours. If you are interested in participating in a traffic workgroup so we have a unified effort, please email: wopta.president@gmail.com and woes.advocacy@gmail.com to volunteer.
