Thanksgiving Break is almost here! Due to the upcoming holiday break, there will not be a PTA newsletter next week. We will resume publication of our newsletter the week of December 2.

Save the dates now for our school library’s Book Fair Family Shopping Night (Thursday, December 5) and our PTA Staff Appreciation Luncheon (Friday, December 6)!

We would like to thank all of our parent and teacher members, our school administration and staff, and our larger school community for all of your support this school year!  Safe travels next week and Happy Thanksgiving!

RCMS Snack Pack Community Service Project: Thank You!

Last Thursday, November 14, our 8th grade volunteers gathered after school and assembled 300 snack packs for Women Giving Back clients as part of their service learning experience. Thank you to all of our student volunteers, our parent volunteers who coordinated and supervised the completion of the project, our parent volunteers who helped deliver the snack packs to Women Giving Back, our school administration and staff for their advisory and logistical support, and our generous benefactors for their food and monetary donations!

We would like to plan another large-scale, service learning event in Spring 2025 for our 8th grade students to earn volunteer hours for Civics or National Junior Honor Society. Help us do this again by joining our Carson Cares Committee as a chairperson or as a committee member. Please contact us at rcmspta@gmail.com if you are interested.

Staff Appreciation Luncheon (Soups and Sides)

Friday, December 6, 2024, 9:30–12:45 PM

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to show appreciation for our 140 RCMS teachers and staff for all that they do year-round for our Carson students and families!

This year, our PTA is coordinating a Soups and Sides winter holiday luncheon. The PTA will be providing beverages, such as coffee and hot-chocolate, but we would love your help providing a bountiful buffet of hearty soups, savory sides, and delicious, sweet desserts, especially winter holiday cookies!
