CPES PTA extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to our school community! We're incredibly proud of our readers and grateful for your support, which made our fundraiser a HUGE success. Our students had a wonderful time reading over 100,000 minutes! We can't wait to host another Read-A-Thon next year!
Readers need to make sure to spend their RAT Bucks by Thursday, November 28th, 2024. Any RAT Bucks not spent by Thursday, November 28th, 2024 will no longer be available. The prize store cannot be reopened once it is closed. All prizes will be shipped to the school.

The Colin Powell PTA and the Washington Commanders are teaming up to provide an experience opportunity. The upper (400) level tickets are discounted for Colin Powell Elementary and $5 of every ticket sold through our special link will come back to CPES PTA. Also after the game, we will be allowed ON THE FIELD for a photo experience for CPES attendees. There are limited number of tickets available for purchase.
A few FYIs:
- Parking, Food and Beverages are NOT included.
- You can purchase lower level seats in this portal at the ticket price and $5 will still come back to CPES PTA
- You must use this portal to purchase the discounted tickets and fundraiser to CPES PTA.
- Family and Friends are all welcome!

Math Olympiad Registration Interest form
We are excited to announce that Colin Powell STEM is enrolling students for the Math Olympiad, available to kids in 4th to 6th grades only.
Please note the following important details:
- Registration Fee
The registration fee will depend on the number of students enrolled. Once we have a final count, the fee will range between $20-$30.
- Limited Spaces
We have 35 spots available for this program, and enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If your child is passionate about math, we strongly encourage you to register early.
- Cancellation Policy
If you register and later decide not to participate, it will prevent another student from taking your spot. Please notify us as soon as possible if you're unable to attend so that we can offer the spot to someone else. This helps us manage logistics and ensures all available spots are filled.
- Test Schedule
The Olympiad will involve five tests conducted at school from November through March 28th. The tests will be sent to us by the Math Olympiad team.
If you’re interested, please review your and kids schedule, and register as soon as possible. We look forward to having enthusiastic students join us in this exciting opportunity!
How to Prepare
Once registration is complete, I will share sample questions with the registered students to help with preparation. You can use these questions to prepare your child for the tests.
