With Christmas just over a month away, North Bay's Pro-Cathedral is already making plans for their 7th annual Christmas Day Dinner. This year, they are expecting to feed 1,000 people. 

In other news, North Bay's $63 million recreation facility building project is officially a "go" after Monday night's vote.

Making sure hundreds will be fed on Christmas Day yet again

Sylvia Antinozzi says every Christmas Day her heart is full after being a part of the annual Christmas Dinner at the Pro-Cathedral.

The Chair of the Community Christmas Day Dinner is leading the event for the 7th year. 

In 2023, a staggering 900 meals were prepared, 450 served at the church, and the rest shared upon request. This year she expects that number of meals to exceed 1,000.

Council voted in favour of moving forward with the $63 million recreation centre project.

Andy Réti was just 2 ½ years old when he and his mother, grandmother and grandfather survived the horrors of the war through good fortune and grit. 

In North Bay, almost 80 years after the Second World War ended, the now 82-year-old talked about his life, his beloved mother and survival to an auditorium full of students at Saint-Joseph’s Scollard Hall.
