This is a reminder to check the Lake Erie HAB Forecast, linked above. Cooler temperatures and breezy conditions have substantially reduced the western Lake Erie cyanobacteria bloom over the past several weeks. We will conitnue to monitor conditions using satellite imagery and NOAA GLERL weekly cell count and toxin data.
This bulletin provides a summary and forecast of the Microcystis harmful algal blooms (HABs) in western Lake Erie. Updates will be e-mailed to subscribers with important information regarding bloom status and significant features.
