Happy Monday, DMV. It’s Oct. 28. My family spent yesterday afternoon on the Mall. We started at the Capitol poop statue. It was larger than I had expected but seemed to sum up perfectly our collective mood. The weather was perfect for a stroll. We made our way to the art museums and were wonderfully surprised by Osgemeos, Brazilian twins whose paintings and street art are on exhibit at the Hirshhorn. I soaked up the twins’ vibes and was especially charmed by their invented world called Tritrez: “There’s nothing to worry about in Tritrez; everything’s in complete harmony,” the twins explained. It was fantastical and sweet. ☀️ Capital Weather Gang daily digit: 8/10. After a frosty start, it’s looking like a hail of a day in D.C. Highs: 59 to 64. Lows: 37 to 44. October is poised to conclude with a burst of unseasonable warmth as highs near 80 degrees on its final two days. |
