AI and Creativity - Friday, 8 November at 1300

At Malmö Konstmuseum, Malmöhusvägen 6, 211 18 Malmö, Sweden

The past years has seen a surge in AI-powered creative tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion. As a creative species we are in an interesting period of accelerated learning, as we explore how to create with artificial, natural and other intelligences. It’s a time for discussions on a wide array of questions:

What is the role of humans in the future of creative work? Who owns what? Can creatives opt out of letting their work train the machine learning algorithms? What happens if advanced tools for creative expression are increasingly made available to all, in a new era of digital democratisation? What’s the value of creative work? What could, and will, a symbiotic relationship between humans, nature, technology and audiences look like?

Speakers:

Laura Herman is the Head of AI Research at Adobe and recently completed her doctoral research at the University of Oxford’s Internet Institute. She spoke at The Conference 2023 and is also presenting at Øredev when she’s in Malmö this time.

Johan Axhamn is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in business law at the Department of Business Law, Lund University School of Economics and Management. He is specialised in IT- and intellectual property law, especially the dynamic interplay between policy and law in relation to new technologies.

Britta Lübeck is a Project Manager & Program Developer at SVT Nöje (the Swedish public service television company) and coordinator of the program division's AI superuser network. She will talk about how SVT works systematically with the exploration of generative AI and how it can help them in their broad program operations.

Ebba Lindgren is an artist and designer with an artistic and concept-driven practice. Apart from designing objects and spaces, she also works on projects reshaping value chains and material processes. In the seminar she will share her process and how AI tools are an integral part of it.

Finding New Organizational Structures in Primary Care Using PCA - Wednesday, 13 November at 1730

At FooCafé, Slagthuset, Carlsgatan 12a, 21120 Malmö, Sweden

The classic approach when organizing units under managers is to approach it from a geographical standpoint and create different management teams based on their location. This creates advantages such as geographical proximity and belonging among units, but can create problems as a team's units can have varying demographic conditions that can lead to them having different challenges and it can be difficult to find support in the closest management team.

This problem led us to leverage data to find an alternative organizational grouping of units to complement the geographical one, helping units find more similar collaboration partners when facing challenges.

About Data Alliance: We believe that all views are equally important in our world, regardless if you’re a data engineer working your way through an obscure data model, a software engineer helping your fellow colleague understand the data generated from your application, or a product owner viewing product metrics. We therefore want to gather everyone into the Data Alliance to share their past and current struggles and/or solutions, no matter if they were successful or not. These experiences will spark illuminating discussions for everyone involved, especially the presenter.

Format: One presentation ~30-40 min and then we’ll throw out a discussion topic for everyone in groups to discuss and mingle over. There’ll be pizza and drinks too of course ;)
