Music: Known as Canada’s Celtic ambassadors, the Barra MacNeils have captivated listeners and live audiences for more than three decades with a sparkling repertoire of Gaelic-influenced roots music and performances that highlight their vocal harmonies, instrumental prowess and showmanship. They’ll bring all of those to Sudbury when they perform at Place des Arts, 27 Larch St., on Oct. 21. Radio: Sudbury's community radio station CKLU 96.7 caters to all music tastes. The Sounds of Scotland airs Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at noon. Maestro’s Picks runs Sunday at noon. Broadway fans are in their element on Mondays at 11 a.m. as they tune into Sounds of Broadway. Allan Walsh's take on the jazz world in Jazz Sounds is always worth listening to on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. JazzMania airing Saturdays at 6 p.m. is equally informative and entertaining.
