To provide context on our current timeline:

Hardening & Security Focus: Over the past several months, our team has been working intensively on bug analysis and addressing security findings across the codebase. We will be sharing an official announcement regarding this Snort hardening release next week.
Release Timeline: The next Snort release is currently targeted for late October. While updates have been delayed during this hardening phase, we will return to a more regular and predictable release cadence going forward.

Good morning,

I have be deploying Snort for over 20 years and this is a first that no updates to Snort have been posted since April 2026. Also, that Cisco has not be willing to give any updates as to why.

Does anyone have any updates?
