Weekly Update

Cross Country
The team traveled to Great Meadows in The Plains on Saturday and braved rain, cold, and mud. Ariana Mather led the Stallion girls with a time of 20:12.70, while Matteos Tefferi was the top finisher for the boys in 19:25.15.

Field Hockey
The Stallions faced Alexandria City in a tough battle this week. They gave up a goal early in the second half, and that proved to be the game’s only score as the team fell 1-0.

Flag Football
The Stallions opened their season Tuesday with games against Mount Vernon and Hayfield. They traded touchdowns with the Majors and finished in a 6-6 tie after neither team converted its extra point. Hayfield took the second game, 22-6.

Football
The Stallions hosted the Fairfax Lions on Friday in front of an energetic home crowd and looked strong on both sides of the ball. They held the Lions scoreless until a touchdown with five seconds remaining, earning a 33-7 win. A huge thank-you to the fans who stayed through the rain showers to support the Stallions!

Golf
The Stallions finished fourth as a team at Tuesday’s district match at Twin Lakes. Senior captain Kamryn Garg led the way, capturing the district championship with a score of 73. Congratulations, Kamryn!

Boys Volleyball
It was a busy week for the Stallions. They opened with a 3-2 win at Lake Braddock, then hosted district opponent CG Woodson. Despite close sets throughout, they fell 3-0. The team bounced back Wednesday with a hard-fought 3-2 win at Oakton.

Girls Volleyball
The Stallions hosted Lake Braddock on Monday and fell 3-0 in a match where several points slipped away. They responded in a big way, traveling to CG Woodson and earning a 3-0 sweep.

Character First | Accountability at Every Level | Relentless Competition.

Run Together. Rise As One.

Go Stallions!

Golf District Champion

Kamryn Garg Picture

On Tuesday the Stallion Golf team travelled to Twin Lakes for the Patriot District Golf Tournament and the day was highlighted by senior captain Kamryn Garg earning the Stallions first district title of the year!  Garg had a strong front nine, shooting a par (36) and was in 3rd place at the turn.  On an incredibly challenging back nine that saw many of top golfers fall off the leaderboard, Kam maintained his composure and consistency, shooting a one over par 37 including birdieing on the 18th hole to win the title by a single stroke!  Kam will return to Twin Lakes next week to take a swing at the region title.
