We hope to see you and your family this morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Sunrise Valley NEST Outdoor Classroom for the PTA Acorns + Oaks event. We’ll collect native acorns to support Virginia’s forests. As a reminder, this is a "shine-only" event. Let's hope the weather holds for us!

Last week, we kicked off our PTA Enrichment programs, and they were a hit! Students enjoyed Chess, Intramurals, and Coding with 3D Printing. Math Olympiad and Get2Green Club also got underway, and students were excited about these opportunities. We’re grateful to our PTA and volunteers for making these experiences possible. We love seeing students explore new interests and learn together!

Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day is this Wednesday, October 7. If your student participates, make sure they stop by the table in front of the school to sign the poster and enter a raffle for free gifts. Families are welcome to coordinate with neighbors and make it a group event.

Lastly, we could use your help! We’ve noticed several items coming to school that aren’t school appropriate, including toys and costume accessories. Please check your child’s belongings and remind them to leave these items at home. Thank you for your help!

Happy Sunday!
