TPG Offers Alert

Real talk: It’s been a pretty great year for big card welcome offers. And that’s fantastic — but when big bonuses start to feel like they grow on trees, it also gets harder to tell the good ones from the great ones.

And I think one of the best offers for travelers who don’t necessarily want to earn a Points PhD is getting overlooked.

Right now, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card has a welcome offer worth $1,000+ in travel.

And I don’t want you to accidentally miss out on this deal if the card — and its increased bonus — could help with your travel goals.

Here’s the offer: Earn 75,000 Capital One miles after spending $4,000 in the first three months, plus get a limited-time $300 Capital One Stays credit to use toward eligible hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel during your first cardholder year.

Between the miles and the limited-time hotel credit, it’s the highest widely available bonus we’ve seen on this card in years.

And here’s the best part: You can get more than $1,000 in travel value without having to learn all the ins and outs of points and miles. Using Capital One miles to essentially erase eligible travel charges is about as easy as miles get.

The 75,000 bonus miles alone can wipe out $750 in eligible travel purchases charged to the card. Add the $300 hotel credit, and you have $1,050 in very straightforward travel value.

And if you do want to get even more value from the miles, you can leverage Capital One’s transfer partners, such as Air Canada Aeroplan and Air France-KLM Flying Blue, to book incredible deals like 60,000-mile business-class awards to Europe. But you don’t have to.

Maybe best of all, this is a card you will want to keep in your wallet well beyond earning the introductory bonus. It earns unlimited 2 miles per dollar spent on everything, has some really cool built-in perks (such as flight price protection) and has just a $95 annual fee.

All of that makes Venture Rewards an unusually good fit for so many people, whether you want simple travel rewards or you’re looking to build a stash of transferable miles for big-value redemptions.

Think this offer might be right for you? Here’s how to check your eligibility, learn more about the card and start planning what you could do with the miles.

Just don’t let a busy year for credit card bonuses cause you to overlook what is one of the most underrated offers — and cards — of the year.
