Inflation has soared. Florida’s education funding isn’t keeping up

School leaders and educators have echoed the same sentiment for years: We do not have enough money.

They’re partially right.

A Times analysis found that, adjusting for inflation, the amount of money the state budgets per public school student has decreased since at least 2009.
