Registration for 2026-27 Student Programs is Now Open!

Dear Educator: 

Register now for 2026-27 Student Programs at the U.S. Capitol! We offer programs both in-person and online. You can also reserve the Democracy Lab, our hands-on activity space, for your group's visit. 

Bring Your Students to the U.S. Capitol 

Choose from our onsite offerings:  Capitol Symbols (Grade Level: K-6) VOTE! (Grade Level: 6-12) Debates of the Constitutional Convention (Grade Level: 6-12)

Student programs are led by an Education Specialist in the Capitol Visitor Center and include a tour of the U.S. Capitol led by a Visitor Guide. The combination takes approximately 2 hours. Programs are available on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays from October through December 2026, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from January through February 2027. All K-12 group reservations require a minimum of 15 students. These programs are booked on a first come, first served basis. 

Bring the U.S. Capitol to Your Classroom

A Capitol Visitor Center Education Specialist will join your students for a curriculum-based Zoom program. Our virtual offerings are:  Capitol Symbols VOTE! Debates of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 Programs are available on select Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays year-round. These programs are booked on a first come, first served basis.

Bring Your Students to Democracy Lab

Bring your students to our hands-on activity space to learn about the work of the U.S. Congress. Reservations for this space are available to student groups on Tuesday afternoons from 2-3 p.m. and Fridays for 30-minute sessions between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. These reservations are booked on a first come, first served basis.

Homeschool Educators and Families

The Capitol Visitor Center will offer the following student programs for homeschool educators and families, so that individual families and smaller groups can participate.  Thursday, October 22, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Capitol Symbols  Thursday, November 5, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. VOTE! Thursday, November 19, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Debates of the Constitutional Convention of 1787
