2026 Flu Clinics Kick-Off September 15, 2026

Butler VA Health Care System will be offering flu vaccination clinics to Veterans starting Tuesday, September 15. A complete listing of flu clinic dates, times and locations is available online at www.va.gov/butler-health-care/events. Flu shots are available to all Veterans. Veterans currently enrolled at the Butler VA Health Care System should present their VA issued health identification card (VHIC).

Veterans not currently enrolled at the Butler VA should present one form of ID and provide a copy of their military discharge (DD214). Non-Veterans, to include spouses and dependents, are not eligible for a flu shot from the Butler VA. Flu shots provided at the Butler VA will be given at the New Castle Road campus located at 325 New Castle Road, Butler, PA. These clinics will be drive through. Signs will be posted. Veterans may receive their flu shot during an upcoming PCP visit or the Walk-in Clinic located at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center.

Veterans not currently enrolled in the Butler VA Health Care System should use the occasion of a flu shot to enroll into the Butler VA. Veterans not enrolled should call Enrollment at 878-271-6645 in advance and request an application be mailed. Veteran Job Fair

Butler VA will be hosting their Annual Veteran Job Fair, Friday, September 18, 2026, from 11am - 2pm at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center at 353 North Duffy Road, Butler, PA  16001.  

Veterans and their families are invited to come out to learn about available jobs and career opportunities with local employers from the Butler County and surrounding areas. This event is being held in collaboration with Pennsylvania CareerLink of Butler County. For more information, please contact Danelle Perkins at 878-271-6162. Veterans
may use this occasion to enroll in the VA health care system. Bring a copy of your DD-214 to begin the enrollment process. Questions regarding eligibility and enrollment can be directed to Butler VA’s enrollment team at 878-271-6645.

Connected Care Information Fair

Join us on Thursday, September 24, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center, 353 North Duffy Road, Butler, PA 16001, for our Connected Care Fair. This event highlights a variety of VA telehealth and digital health resources designed to help Veterans conveniently access care from home.

Veterans are encouraged to use the occasion of scheduled events or drop by the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center Monday through Friday, between 8am - 4:30pm to learn more about available programs, services and start the enrollment journey.  Bring a copy of your DD-214.  Eligibility and enrollment information can be found at www.va.gov or by calling Butler VA's enrollment team at 878-271-6645.

Happy 79th Birthday U.S. Air Force 

On September 18. 1947, the U.S. Air Force (USAF) became an independent military branch when the National Security Act took effect.  Prior to this act, military aviation was under the U.S. Army including the Army Air Corps and Army Air Force.
