Food insecurity, the lack of consistent access to nutritious food, is an important but often overlooked factor that can increase suicide risk among Veterans. Many Veterans, even those with stable housing and reliable income, can be impacted by food insecurity.
This month’s lecture will explore the relationship between food insecurity and suicide risk, highlighting how it may present in Veterans and its role as an upstream risk factor for suicidal behaviors. Attendees will discover practical tools for screening Veterans and connecting them with nutrition resources.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain actionable insights into this often-overlooked suicide risk factor for Veterans.
A follow-up email with registration links will be sent once available. In the meantime, please save the date!
