Issue Number: 2026-11IRS updates public key for FATCA filingAs you are aware, the public/private key pairs used for encryption for FATCA filings have an expiration date. The IRS Public Key for FATCA filing will expire soon. The IRS has a new key and will replace the existing key on Wednesday, September 24, 2026, at 9:00 am EDT. After September 24, 2026, at 9:00 am EDT, you will need to download the new IRS Public Key from IDES to file your FATCA Reports. As a reminder, when purchasing a new digital certificate or replacing one that is about to expire, IDES only recognizes and accepts digital certificates issued by IRS approved Certificate Authorities (CA).
