 VA Providence is offering multiple opportunities for Veterans to receive their flu vaccination this season.
Preventing the flu begins with you.
Beginning Monday, September 14, Veterans can ask for a flu shot during their outpatient appointments at VA Providence.
Don’t have an appointment? Visit the walk-in Flu Clinic in the Basement E Wing every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. No appointment is needed.
CBOC options: New Bedford offers walk-in vaccinations every Friday from 1:00–3:00 p.m., September 18–November 20. Hyannis will offer clinics October 2 and October 16 from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Veterans using Middletown CBOC: Thursdays, 1:00-3:00 p.m., September 17-November 19

Veterans Café returns to Block Island Wednesday, September 16, from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Odd Fellows Café.
All Veterans are invited to enjoy a meal, connect with other local Veterans and speak with representatives about VA medical care, VA benefits and local resources—without having to travel off-island.

 Help Support the VA Providence Food Pantry during the upcoming Boston Legacy FC match!
Sunday, September 20 | 2:00 p.m. Centreville Bank Stadium | Pawtucket
VA Providence has donated tickets available for Veterans and their families to see Boston Legacy FC take on the Houston Dash at Centreville Bank Stadium.
To request tickets, email and include:
- Number of tickets requested
- Email address associated with your Ticketmaster account
- Veteran’s branch of service
The match will also support a food drive for the VA Providence Food Pantry, which is open to all Veterans. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to help stock the pantry and support fellow Veterans.
Acceptable donations include items such as canned fruits and vegetables, whole grains, protein-rich foods, soups and stews, cereal, nutritious snacks, and other shelf-stable foods. For the complete list of acceptable donations, visit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank donation guidelines.
Donated tickets are available while supplies last.

 Veterans, join VA Providence at Centreville Bank Stadium as we cheer on RIFC!
VA Providence is offering Veterans an opportunity to attend Rhode Island FC’s match against Miami FC Saturday, September 19, at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m., with a postgame fireworks show following the match.
Veterans interested in tickets should email Justyn.Charon@va.gov and include:
Quantity of tickets being requested Veteran’s branch of service Email address associated with their SeatGeek account
RIFC uses SeatGeek for digital tickets, making the SeatGeek-associated email important for ticket distribution.
