After seeing the recent LinkedIn emails, Zach pipes up:

(Zach is a client of mine)

====

"I got a LOT out of these emails (on top of what I already learned from you). The DM side of LinkedIn is something I've stayed away from. But I'm going to be more active going forward."

====

Which warmed my cranky Aussie heart.

Many people never realize what Zach did.

Consider the common view:

"Ugh, DMs are so SLIMEY! I wouldn't be caught DEAD using a DM on LinkedIn EVER!!"

Fine.

It's your bank account.

You can keep it empty if you want.

Problem is the logic here is a little confusing to me.

No DMs because some people abuse them?

Imagine if you didn't drive because some people wreck...

if you didn't cook pasta because a friend of yours didn't do it al dente...

if you refused to lift weights because you disagree with Arnold Swargehdhirz's politics...

if you never dated because sometimes people break up...

if you never wrote because some other writer offended you...

if you never used a hammer because Bob the Builder wears the color yellow and you don't like yellow.

Silly.

Also, I want to point out:

Zach doesn't use DMs and he's still gotten enough out of LinkedIn to email in his gratitude.

Which makes sense.

I've been writing daily for a decade on LinkedIn.

(Compare that to these "overnight experts" you're seeing crop up everywhere.)

A decade of writing, testing, and measuring what works.

It's obsession.

And I obviously had to double down on that process with the recent algorithm updates.

What worked in 2024 on LinkedIn does not work in 2026.

And a final word on Zach:

We started working together less than a year ago. Today, he's doing $83,000 and growing.

Did he have some other things already moving?

Sure.

Still,

$83,000 is nothing to sneeze at...

...especially considering he hasn't even done everything I suggested.

Anyway, final word:

I'm opening up my entire LinkedIn playbook to the public, live, in a workshop called How to Win on LinkedIn in 2026.

We go live in just 48 hours.

Deadline is coming fast.

Most people will get distracted and miss out.
