Top nominees “The Pitt,” “Hacks,” “Pluribus” and “Widow’s Bay” will have chances to stock up on Emmys Sunday at an early ceremony eight days before the main awards show and telecast.

The Television Academy hands out well over 100 primetime Emmys, and most of them will be presented this weekend in a pair of ceremonies at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. They were previously known as the Creative Arts Emmys but have now been rebranded as simply the first two nights of the 78th Emmy Awards.

The two nights will be edited together to air Sept. 12 on FXX and stream on Hulu the following day. The primetime Sept. 14 ceremony, also at the Peacock Theater and hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will air live on NBC and stream live on Peacock.

Actor Bruce Campbell said he has five years to live amid his battle with cancer.

Speaking on an episode of “The Adam Carolla Show” released Thursday, the actor — best known for his roles in “The Evil Dead” horror franchise — said he has “give or take” five years left.

“I’ve decided though, pretty specifically, to live with it, not die from it,” he said. “The cancer rabbit hole is enormous. You can go into focus groups of 10,000 guys who have exactly what you have. I won’t touch it with a 10 foot pole.”

Pretty much everyone on stage at the Metropolitan Opera in New York must audition — even the snake who will briefly take center stage in an upcoming adaptation of a Mozart classic.

In charge of deciding who gets the s-s-s-s-starring reptilian role is Zoe Ziegfeld, a carnival performer-turned-opera actor cast as the snake handler in the Met’s version of “Così fan tutte,” inspired by Coney Island in the 1950s.

Ziegfeld takes each snake, lets it slither and wrap around, then hoists the animal over their head, rehearsing what they will do under the bright lights at center stage for each performance. Ziegfeld looks each one in the eye, almost face-to-face as they evaluate the snake’s demeanor.

Alix Earle is using her new Netflix reality show, “Earle Meets World,” to break her silence on the alleged falling out between her and “Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper.

Earle rose to fame in 2020 when she began posting “Get Ready With Me” content. Since then, Earle’s platform has amassed over 8 million TikTok followers, and she’s also launched a skincare company.

In 2023, Earle also signed a podcast deal with Cooper’s media company, The Unwell Network. But Earle and her podcast were dropped in early 2025. No reasoning was given beyond official statements from reps. The internet suspected a possible rift between the two, and evidence was given during some social media exchanges in spring of this year.

Dolly Parton’s sister has condemned the AI deepfakes circulating in the wake of the beloved American icon’s death.

Stella Parton, 77, addressed the fake AI-generated images and videos being of her sister in a statement shared to Instagram Friday, where she also thanked fans for their “genuine” support.

“Sadly, because of the way our lives have been lived in front of the public, we have no choice but to be subjected to incredible pressure and insensitivity from strangers,” she wrote. “There is a tremendous amount of AI and endless garbage being posted everyday and it’s been challenging to absorb and or ignore.”

The ceremony takes place on Monday, Sept. 14, on NBC. So, maybe not quite enough time to binge-watch entire series, but there’s definitely enough hours to at least get a taste of the performances that everyone will be talking about.
