The Lindsay Clancy murder trial has officially ended with the judge declaring a mistrial after days of jury deadlock and a failed last-minute attempt by her defense to appeal. Jurors were unable to reach a unanimous decision on whether Clancy was criminally responsible in her children’s deaths, or whether she was not guilty by reason of mental illness. Clancy’s defense appealed to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court to get a holdout juror removed from the panel, but the move was denied. |
