What if I told you that Anthony Scaramucci, the garrulous former investment banker who in 2017 was fired just 10 days into his tenure as Trump’s White House communications director, has written 10 books? What if I followed that by telling you that no. 10, out this month, is about the scourge of income inequality—and that the Mooch thinks he knows how to fix it? Don’t take my word for it: take Jack Holmes’s. He spent a memorable afternoon in the Hamptons with Scaramucci, talking Trump (the Mooch is no longer a fan), cars, Jacob Riis, Sam Bankman-Fried, and so, so much more. It’s tough to pick a favorite quote from a sound-bite machine like this guy, but I think mine comes when Scaramucci brings up an old Nassau County Republican: “I love Joe Margiotta. I mean, he ended up going to jail for mail fraud or some shit like that. I don’t give a shit. I love Joe Margiotta.”
