This week’s post will feature photographs from early 20th century “bird house contests,” children’s competitions designed to foster a love of nature, as well as teach design and construction skills. It will draw from several of the Division’s large photographic archives, including the Harris & Ewing, National Photo Company, and American National Red Cross collections.
