	The death toll is rising after floods wiped out villages in Nepal and Tibet.

• The latest: At least 270 people were killed, officials said, as floods devastated the Himalayan border region. Hundreds more are missing, including 65 American tourists.

Meta agreed to make major changes to how children can use its apps.

• In a nationwide settlement: The parent company of Facebook and Instagram agreed to pay up to $18 billion and add safety measures, ending a trial over teen social media addiction.

	A Senate candidate’s former staffer shared KKK and Nazi imagery on his X account.

• In June and July: A former staffer for Rep. Mike Collins (R-Georgia) shared images of a swastika and one that depicts himself in KKK robes. The Post found the images in a search.

• Why it matters: Collins is challenging Sen. Jon Ossoff (D) in a critical Senate race. Some Georgia Republicans told The Post they’re increasingly worried about Collins’s associates.

The FDA approved a pancreatic cancer drug that extends patients’ lives.

• It’s known as Rasonque: The pill, which is taken daily, has been shown to nearly double patients’ average survival times for pancreatic cancer when taken instead of chemotherapy.

• The approval is a big step forward: Pancreatic cancer is a cruel diagnosis, leaving about 14% of people alive after five years. But researchers found the disease’s Achilles’ heel.

Tim Curry, the beloved British actor, died at the age of 80.

• What happened? He died peacefully at his Los Angeles home Tuesday, his manager said yesterday. He had used a wheelchair since a major stroke in 2012 left him with partial paralysis.
