Quick thought on 47-day TLS certificates and ServiceDesk Plus

The CA/Browser Forum is phasing public TLS validity down to 47 days by March 2029, with the first step (200 days) already in effect since March 15 of this year. The first certificates issued under this new cap come up for renewal at the end of September or early October.


In the long term, for the public-facing TLS your team supports, this could mean roughly eight times the current renewal ticket volume.
