Join us for two upcoming virtual research orientations from the Latin American, Caribbean and European Division at the Library of Congress. These programs will introduce researchers to Library collections, digital resources, research tools, and the services available through the Hispanic and European Reading Rooms.In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, join us for an introductory virtual orientation to the Hispanic Reading Room collections at the Library of Congress, designed especially for new researchers to the Library of Congress. Participants will learn about the Reading Room’s collections, research services, and resources for exploring Latino and Latin American topics. Library staff will introduce collection materials and tools available to researchers and provide guidance for getting started with the Library’s extensive Latino collections. Hosted by the European Reading Room, join us for a virtual orientation to researching women in France and French Caribbean history using the collections and research tools of the Library of Congress. Latin American, Caribbean, and European Division specialists will introduce participants to resources for researching women’s history in France and the French Caribbean, including digital resources, primary sources, and tools for identifying materials available both online and for use at the Library. The orientation will offer guidance on navigating the Library’s online research tools and when to contact the European Reading Room for further research assistance. The program is intended for students, scholars, researchers, and others interested in French and French Caribbean history who would like to become more familiar with the Library’s collections and resources.
