Catalog and Library Accounts Scheduled Downtime

The Library of Congress catalog and its associated Library card accounts system will be down for maintenance starting Wednesday, August 26th at 6pm EST. We anticipate that all operations will be restored by midnight. Search and requesting of materials (i.e., use of the online catalog) and the issuing of new library cards will be unavailable during this time.

New researchers needing a card may opt to obtain a temporary paper day pass for access to our reading rooms/research centers between 6:00 and 8:00pm that evening, but search and requesting will be unavailable during this time.
