Important Update:
Personal Electronic Devices
FCPS has updated its requirements regarding students’ use of personal electronic and computing devices during the instructional day. Students may not use personal laptops, tablets, smartphones, smartwatches, or other personal electronic communication or computing devices during the instructional day. For school-related digital activities, students must use their FCPS-issued device.
Limited exceptions apply when the use of a personal device is documented as a necessary accommodation in a student’s IEP or Section 504 Plan, or when a principal or designee has approved a course-specific exception for a specialized class requiring technology or software that is unavailable on a standard FCPS-issued device.
