Principal's Note

Hello, Hawk Family!

I am absolutely thrilled to begin the new school year as the Principal of Holmes Middle School! The students, staff, families, and community that make up Holmes are truly second to none, and I am incredibly proud to lead our school and continue our culture of excellence and commitment to student success.

I look forward to partnering with you throughout the school year to support our students and strengthen our Holmes community. Please stay tuned for opportunities to meet with me, as I will be scheduling times for families and community members to connect and get to know one another.

On Thursday, we had the pleasure of welcoming our new sixth-grade students and other new Holmes students through our Jump Start program. Students had the opportunity to meet staff members, explore the building through an exciting scavenger hunt, and receive some Holmes swag to help kick off the new school year!

A huge thank-you to our After-School Specialist, Mr. Kruk, and our amazing school counselors for coordinating such a wonderful event. Their time and dedication helped create a fun and welcoming experience for our newest Hawks!

The Holmes administrative team is eagerly looking forward to welcoming all of our students on the first day of school, August 24, 2026!

In the meantime, please enjoy these final days of summer, make some great memories, and get ready for an incredible school year. We cannot wait to see you soon!

Go Hawks!

Jess Tippins

Principal, Holmes Middle School
