Good news for Jurassic Park fans: New dinosaur film The End of Oak Street starring Anne Hathaway may help tide you over until the release of the next prehistoric blockbuster. The movie is set in a teleported chunk of 1980s American suburbia where bloodthirsty prehistoric dinosaurs roam free. Critic Barry Hertz writes that “even the most cynical, seen-it-Allosaurus viewer will be forced to scream and shriek” during one of the film’s sequences.

Hertz also reviewed the new musical thriller The Rivals of Amziah King. Matthew McConaughey stars as an Oklahoma beekeeper who introduces his foster daughter to the culinary topography of the local church potluck. Hertz writes that the film is a “Southern-fried delight, without ever being self-indulgently gluttonous.”
