Volunteers Needed for an Upcoming Event

Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary will be participating in an upcoming community event where we could use your assistance.

Discovery Day at Texas Maritime Musuem 

Volunteers will staff an outreach event to introduce the public to the sanctuary and corals that are found in the sanctuary. This includes talking to people, giving out information, and helping participants with activities, like reef-tac-toe, coral up close, and deep Gulf habitat mats. This is an indoor event.

Location: Texas Maritime Museum, 1202 Navigation Cir, Rockport, TX 78382

Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026

Volunteer shift: 

10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: 4 volunteers needed
