At least seven people have died after a 14-year-old suspected shooter opened fire at his home and school in the outskirts of Bangkok, authorities say. The victims include five teachers and the suspect's grandparents, and more than 30 people were injured. Police said the suspect is also dead and they do not yet know his motive. He used a 9mm handgun that belonged to his grandfather, according to police. Thailand's gun laws are under renewed scrutiny following the country's deadliest mass shooting in years - and the second at a school this year.

Tens of thousands of properties belonging to Ukrainian citizens have been seized, or identified for seizure, since 2024 to be given to Russian passport holders, BBC Verify and BBC Russian have found. One of these properties is a family home in the Mariupol suburbs. Some members of the family fled when the war broke out in 2022, but the grandparents still live there. Then, in April, occupation officials told them the home had been identified for seizure. Some Russian citizens who have benefited from the scheme appear to be uncomfortable with the way it is run. 

Young content creator César Gastélum was chatting to two friends outside a fast food restaurant in the Mexican city of Culiacán when he was shot dead at close range by a man driving a motorbike. His killing, which was caught on camera while he was livestreaming, is not the first such death in Sinaloa state - and it has prompted questions about how influencers became caught up in cartel violence.
