The scandal surrounding Rep. Max Miller, the Ohio Republican fighting for his political life amid a series of damning domestic abuse allegations—allegations that my colleague Abby Vesoulis has exclusively reported on—continues to implode.
This time, it's text-message evidence showing that Miller, despite his previous denials, repeatedly withheld his toddler's blue bunny. Here's a sample from a March 2025 exchange:
"Max, Can REDACTED please have her bunny back? She’s had it since birth, sleeps with it every night, carries it with her around the house...Please don’t punish REDACTED if you’re upset with me."
Again, this wasn't just a one-off incident. Abby's latest reporting exposes a pattern of withholding his daughter's stuffed animal amid the couple's bitter custody battle, which remains ongoing.
Miller has until Monday to withdraw from his reelection campaign and give Republicans a chance to replace him.
