More than seven decades after he was reported missing in action during the Korean War, U.S. Army Cpl. Norman Ronald Levesque is finally home. Levesque, who was from Taunton, Massachusetts, disappeared on Aug. 11, 1950, after his unit came under attack while defending an airbase in Korea. For decades, his family and community were left without answers. “To have one of our own come back after being missing in action for decades and decades means everything to this entire community, especially to our veteran community and, of course, to the family,” Taunton Mayor Shaunna O’Connell said. |
