I think the best approach for Saturday would be to start early, around 7 AM, so we can beat the crowds on the trail. I checked the weather and it looks clear until late afternoon. We should pack layers though because it gets cool at the summit. I was thinking we could take the Ridge Trail up and then come down via the Creek Path - it's longer but the views are better on that side. Let me know if you want to adjust the timing. I can bring snacks if you handle the water. The parking lot fills up fast so arriving early is key. I've done this route a few times now and it's really rewarding. The wildflowers should be in bloom which will be nice. We could grab lunch afterward at that place near the trailhead if you're interested.

Also, I heard the overlook has been cleared of brush so the sightlines are much better than last year. I'll bring my binoculars just in case. Let me know what you think about the timing.

I tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week and it turned out great. The key was letting the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes to develop the flavors. I used San Marzano tomatoes which made a difference. I also added a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat. Next time I might try it with fresh basil instead of dried. Let me know what you thought if you made it. I'm thinking of trying the other recipe you mentioned this weekend. The one with the lemon and capers sounds perfect for spring. I'll let you know how it goes. I might serve it with a simple arugula salad on the side. I've been really enjoying exploring new dishes lately and that one was definitely a keeper.

I also wanted to ask if you have a good source for fresh herbs. I'm thinking of starting a small herb garden on the balcony. Basil, thyme, and rosemary seem like good starters. Let me know if you have any tips!
