Fun comment came through my website a couple days ago.

From a fellow apparently named "John"

His enlightened thoughts:

====

"I have honestly never seen someone uglier than you. What kind of creature are you? Seriously asking….throw yourself in the trash."

====

Woof.

What an honor to win the prize of "ugliest guy John has ever seen."

Still.

Let's not be too hard on this guy.

I'm sure modeling gigs are tough to come by these days, so I'm sure he and his gorgeous hair, 6-pack abs, and sharp jawline are very mad about that.

Because only a truly beautiful person would say that.

Now.

Here's the part where I have to tell you…

I'm not actually angry at this guy.

And

This isn't the first time random internet strangers have attacked my not-so-good looks.

Remember back in the summer of 2023 when I discovered a popular subreddit called LinkedIn Lunatics where there were dozens of people insulting my looks?

You don't?

Allow me to refresh you…

The story is truly shocking.

====

I foolishly drifted up to the (Reddit) search bar.

And typed in: "Tim Denning"

Filtering ONLY the results from the LinkedIn Lunatics.

And…

My friends…

The results were intense.

Not only do people love to make fun of my LinkedIn strategy, but they also don't hesitate to tease my face, my body, and my expressions.

Just scrolling through the top result was enough to see how deranged these people are.

The most popular post on LinkedIn Lunatics featuring yours truly was the day I announced that Lady Denning was pregnant with Baby Denning. I'm sitting next to my wife, smiling at the camera, my head pressed against my future daughter's fetus.

I'm an introvert. Quiet and shy in real life, even though I can appear aggressive online. If you met me here in Oz, you'd probably be shocked how little I talk in crowds.

Add to that one of my deepest insecurities…

I'm well aware I'm a weird lookin dude.

Scrawny and pale.

Odd facial features.

And no matter what I do with my hair, it never looks cool.

More like you threw a pile of straw into a vacuum cleaner, and then placed the tangled mess on top of my skull.

But I like the picture because of what it means to me.

So DESPITE my feelings and DESPITE my fear and DESPITE how I feel about my own appearance, I posted my favorite picture on LinkedIn because that's how I announce personal news…

And I pretty much forgot about it until I found the comments on LinkedIn Lunatics.

This is really what people were saying about me:

  • "oh god this is so cringey"
  • "Thanks. I hate it."
  • "This guy is absolutely insufferable."
  • "I'm trying not to insult based on appearance but that dude is such a Tim Burton character"
  • "Fester Addams with hair."
  • "Sorry but that's one ugly dude"

And I'm gonna pause right here to say:

If you ever find a troll site like this…and if you ever find a post about you on there… please don't read the comments.

Otherwise, you'll find your worst insecurities confirmed by people who don't know you at all.

They'll say things like:

  • "Definitely a surrogate who was artificially inseminated. No woman would have sex with that thing."
  • "He's exactly the type of guy who's gonna come home and tell his wife and kids that he's "off the clock" from 5 to 7 and lock the bedroom door till he's ready to talk to them"
  • "I found his Instagram and its truly terrifying."

And then.

THEN.

Came the thread that was so ridiculous I went past embarrassment and into laughter.

"Looks like the cover of a weird horror novel."

"Yeah, like he wants to eat the baby or something"

"100% that dude definitely eats babies."

"He does have a strong skin-eater vibe about him."

WHAT

THE

ACTUAL

FIDDLESTICKS??

====

Yeah.

Real people said I "definitely eat babies."

Freaks.

Anyway.

The big reason I bring this up is because many of you are starting or scaling digital businesses…

And with all the superficial Instagram bros…

(not to mention the haters in the comments like this one)…

It's tempting to think you need to be

  • Charismatic
  • Pretty
  • Charming
  • Have a "video-friendly" face

to make money online.

Not the case at all.

Matter of fact, even before I started my YouTube channel, I still did north of $100K every month.

Here's what it really takes to run an online business:

  1. A decent idea
  2. The right systems
  3. The willpower to do the work.

In 72 hours, I'm going to show you all the systems you'll need to start or scale your online business.

Yes.
