Does ASUS ROG Flow Z13 really deserve a perfect repairability score?

ASUS gave this laptop a 10/10 repairability score. We disagree.

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 carries an eye-popping 10 out of 10 repairability score in France. But does this $2,000 gaming tablet/laptop hybrid really deserve a perfect score? We tore down the ROG Flow Z13 and scored it using iFixit's own repairability criteria.


More importantly, this teardown raises a bigger question: As repairability scores become more common around the world, should manufacturers be allowed to self-report the scores that consumers see on price tags?

EU Relaxes Rules for Smart Glasses After US Pressure

Meta has been pushing hard on their AI-powered glasses in the US this summer, including a huge marketing campaign featuring Kylie Jenner and other influencers. Now, the European Commission has removed a key obstacle to the European launch of Meta Glasses: exempting all smart glasses and other wearables from the upcoming EU rules requiring user-replaceable batteries.
