The Senate should reject Todd Blanche. “To understand why Mr. Blanche poses such a threat to America’s system of justice, look at how sharply he and Mr. Trump have strayed from traditional restraints on the use of law enforcement powers.”

Re: The Lo-Fi Way I Broke My Addiction to the Algorithm

Just last week, I realized that 2026 me scrolling is 1986 me smoking. Back then, I was a social smoker at clubs and parties, and then it became a reward and boredom breaker at work. It greatly enhanced my procrastination skills. In a very creepy way, I started to have a smoke first thing in the morning, and then on the walk to the train, and then from the train to work. One day I realized that I just didn’t feel well and that was my last smoke. And so here I sit, with this device in my hands, close to the size, not to mention the cost, of a pack of cigarettes, that is with me at parties and work, is in my kitchen and on my nightstand, that I check first thing in the morning, and grab several times a day, for whatever physical or psychic boost or procrastination strategy I need.

Hmm, I don’t feel well at all.
