We have some important news for you. Thanks to the recent changes brought by the PACT Act, thousands of Veterans—many of whom were denied in the past—are now finding out they’re eligible for VA health care for the very first time. If you’ve ever been turned away or simply never tried to enroll, now is the perfect time to check again.

To help you take advantage of these changes, the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center outreach and enrollment team will be hosting two special enrollment events in the western Upper Peninsula. These events are designed just for Veterans like you who aren’t currently enrolled in VA health care. It’s a chance to sit down with our team, review your eligibility, and, if you qualify, enroll on the spot.

July 18, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET VFW Post 5600 915 River Street Ontonagon, MI 49953

Why is this worth your time? With the PACT Act in full effect, more Veterans than ever are now eligible for valuable benefits like free hearing aids and eyeglasses, much lower health care costs, and medication co-pays as low as $8 (with a cap at $33, and in many cases, no out-of-pocket costs at all).

What to bring: To make things easy, please bring a copy of your DD214, your income information from last year, and, if you have a spouse or dependents, their birthdates and Social Security numbers.

Whether you’ve never enrolled before or were previously told you didn’t qualify, we encourage you to stop by. No strings attached—just answers, support, and the opportunity to get the care and benefits you’ve earned.
