Donald Trump and Senate Republicans are exploiting Senator Lindsey Graham’s death to revive one of the most dangerous voting bills in Congress.

The Save America Act would create strict new barriers that could make it harder for eligible Americans to cast a ballot — especially married women, students, seniors, low-income voters, rural voters and naturalized citizens.

Now Trump is claiming Graham was pushing the bill shortly before his death, and Republicans like Senators Mike Lee and Marsha Blackburn are trying to turn that claim into a political weapon.

They say passing this anti-voter bill would honor Graham. They're lying. It would simply bolster Trump's efforts to make sure Democrats don't regain control of Congress this November.

Tell the U.S. Senate: Reject the Save America Act and protect every eligible American’s right to vote.

This bill is not about election security. Noncitizen voting in federal elections is already illegal. The real goal is to bury eligible voters in paperwork, scare people away from the polls, and give partisan officials more tools to challenge, delay, and suppress the vote before the midterms.

Republicans know they cannot win fair elections on their agenda alone. So they are trying to change the rules, restrict the electorate, and use a senator’s death as cover for an attack on democracy.
