Plan Year 2027 Assister Certification Training on the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS) “Go-Dark”

As we prepare to release the Plan Year (PY) 2027 Assister Certification Training, the current PY 2026 Assister Certification Training hosted on the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS) will be taken offline at 6:00 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. During this “go-dark” period, Assisters will not be able to access the certification training. In addition, for the first week of “go dark” Assisters will not be able to print certificates or access the MLMS system for any reason. We anticipate the PY 2027 Assister Certification Training will be available early this fall. 

Assisters who need to take the current training before the PY 2027 training is available should complete the PY 2026 Assister Certification Training prior to its removal on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. 

Please note: This training is for Assisters in the Federally-facilitated Marketplaces, and Assisters in State-based Marketplaces or State-based Marketplaces using the Federal platform should follow their state’s training and certification requirements.

PY 2027 ESRD QIP Preview Period Starts in One Week

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reminds you that the Payment Year (PY) 2027 End-Stage Renal Disease Quality Incentive Program (ESRD QIP) Preview Period is scheduled to open on Monday, July 20, 2026, and close on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

When the Preview Period Opens: To view your facility or organization’s ESRD QIP scores, reports, and inquiries as a Facility Viewer or Facility or Corporate Point of Contact (POC), you should:

  • Complete the Healthcare Quality Information System (HCQIS) Access Roles and Profile (HARP) account registration process, if needed, by going to https://harp.cms.gov/login/login.
  • Log in to the ESRD Quality Reporting System (EQRS) with your HARP account via https://eqrs.cms.gov/globalapp/.
  • Review the applications listed on the My Access screen in EQRS for “QIP.”
  • Request and/or verify that the ESRD QIP role is active in EQRS. You can access training materials for these steps at: https://eqrs.cms.gov/resources

CMS strongly recommends EQRS users log in to EQRS NO LATER THAN July 20, 2026, to verify that their EQRS role is active. Following this recommendation will help ensure necessary access during the ESRD QIP Preview Period. To log in and verify your EQRS role, click here: https://eqrs.cms.gov/globalapp/.

During the PY 2027 ESRD QIP Preview Period: CMS recommends that every organization take the following steps:

  • Facility Viewers and Facility and Corporate POCs should review their facility’s preview Performance Score Report (PSR), which is available through the ESRD QIP user interface (UI) in EQRS.
  • POCs should submit inquiries about their facility’s PY 2027 preview scores before the Preview Period concludes.

CMS will evaluate all inquiries and make any necessary adjustments to facility scores. Facilities will continue to receive responses to their inquiries via the ESRD QIP UI in EQRS after the close of the Preview Period.
