Unlock Your Creativity: Free Creative Classes for Veterans Begin Sept. 7

The Orlando VA Healthcare System is partnering with the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts to offer free creative classes for Veterans beginning September 7, 2026. These engaging workshops provide a unique opportunity to explore the arts, connect with fellow Veterans, and support your overall well-being in a fun, welcoming environment.

Whether you’re looking to try something new or rediscover a longtime passion, there’s a class for you. No previous experience is necessary.

Available Classes: 

• Drumming Circle – Mondays at Orlando VA SimVET and Wednesdays at the Dr. Phillips Center
• Choir – Wednesdays at the Dr. Phillips Center
• Improv Theater – Tuesdays at Orlando VA SimVET
• Spoken Word Poetry – Thursdays at Orlando VA SimVET

These classes are designed to encourage creativity, build confidence, reduce stress, and create meaningful connections with other Veterans through shared experiences.

To make participation easier, round-trip shuttle transportation is available from the Lake Baldwin VA Clinic to the Dr. Phillips Center. Veterans may also choose to drive directly to the Dr. Phillips Center and will be reimbursed for parking fees.

Space is limited, and registration is required.
