Kyle Lowry has announced his retirement after 20 NBA seasons and will retire as a member of the Toronto Raptors.

The 40-year-old revealed the decision in a post on Instagram, while the Raptors shared a photo of him in a Toronto jersey with the words “Welcome Home Kyle.”

Lowry spent nine seasons in Toronto and helped lead the franchise to its first NBA championship in 2019.He also had stops with the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers.

Lowry earned all six of his all-star selections with the Raptors and ranks among the team’s all-time leaders in games, assists, steals and three-pointers.
