Volunteer With Us!

We are looking for a garden enthusiast to coordinate the Walter Reed Community Garden! The Garden Coordinator will help care for and steward the garden throughout the year, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the garden’s design, increasing its use of native plants and organizing a small number of seasonal workdays with the help of volunteers.

About the Garden

In the fall of 2013, Arlington County sought the assistance of Arlington Master Gardeners to develop a plan to turn separate plots into one large garden that would enhance the beauty of the Walter Reed Community Center. Today, the Sensory Garden is maintained by both community and 55+ volunteers and is supported by the Walter Reed 55+ Advisory Committee.
