Yeah, I finally made it out to that trail we talked about last month. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and there were barely any other people on the path. I started early around 7am so I could beat the crowd and honestly it was the best decision. The whole loop took me about four hours with a few stops to take photos. The view from the top was incredible, you could see the entire valley covered in fog that was just starting to burn off. I packed way too much water but better safe than sorry, right? There was this one section that was pretty steep, lots of loose rocks, so I had to take it slow. jAerLPa25gbfiL I was thinking about what you said regarding trying the north route next time. I checked the map and it looks like it adds maybe another mile but the scenery is supposed to be even better. Let me know if you want to join me for that one, I'm probably going to go again in a couple weeks. I'll send you some of the photos I took, they came out pretty good even with my phone camera.

I finally caught up on that podcast series you recommended. Took me a while because I only listen during my commute, but I finished the last episode yesterday. You were right, the storytelling is really well done, especially the way they weave together different perspectives. I wasn't sure about it at first because the first episode felt a bit slow but it really picks up around episode three. The host has a great voice for narration, very calming but still engaging. I found myself sitting in the car a few times just to finish a segment. There was one part in episode five that caught me off guard, I didn't see that twist coming at all. I've been telling a few other people about it too. My brother started it last week and he's already ahead of me. I think I might go back and listen to a couple episodes again, there was a lot of detail I probably missed the first time. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation, it was exactly the kind of thing I needed.
